Hyderabad: Nayanta University, established under the Maharashtra State Private University Act, held a roadshow in the city to invite students from here for the classes beginning in August 2025. Its permanent campus, spread across 100 acres, is under development in Pune. The University offers a fully residential undergraduate programme.
Admissions for the inaugural programme opened in February 2025, with the first batch set to begin classes in August 2025. A range of courses are offered allowing students to declare their preferences after completing an 18-month multidisciplinary foundation programme.
Dr Ranjan Banerjee, CEO, Nayanta Education Foundation, outlined the foundational principles of the University. Each student will participate in a personal development programme to enhance self-awareness, with faculty and leadership investing time in small group and one-on-one interactions outside the classroom.
The curriculum includes three mandatory one-month internships across industry, NGOs, and government organisations, allowing students to gain diverse sectoral insights. Additionally, students will undertake a five-month internship in a sector of their choice, ensuring practical exposure and readiness for real-world challenges, he added.
The University has partnered with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to provide a differentiated education framework that combines theoretical knowledge with practical application.
